Indian Creek is reaching the open area of the gravel mine
Remaining Hollywood swamp area along Indian Creek

 

The tall, pretty grass are invasive Phragmites that thrive on disturbed land and push out native grasses and rushes.

The creek takes a sharp and unseemingly sharp bend to the east when it reaches the edge of the deforested gravel mine (pink area in map).
